ie. Are you able to be placed into the situation that I am going to be placed into?
Mr 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Receptivity of the word of God required to be truly baptized

Receptivity of the Holy Spirit is included in true biblical baptism
Ac 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Water baptism is an Outward profession of an inner possession
Mt 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Baptism for the dead 1Co 15:29 [ this is not a command to baptize for the dead but an argument for the resurrection saying that it is foolish for some to baptize for the dead if the dead do not rise.
Le 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead,
De 14:1 ¶ Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
Just because some do things for the dead does not mean God’s people are to practice these.
In fact they are warned against doing such things
1Pe 3:21 ¶ The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Noah and his family were placed into the Ark, A type of Christ, and saved from the flood judgment [figure of placed into Christ]
